Wubbzy is always trying to have fun. But often times Wubbzy can't have fun anymore becuase his kickity-kick ball pops or a similar problem arrives. Then Wubbzy relies on his two best friends Walden and Widget to help him get back to having fun.
I definitely consider it to be the most energetic show on TV. It is very colorful with lots of fun and catchy music. The animation is alos pretty unique being made in Flash like a lot of web based cartoons.
Wow! Wow! Wubbzy has been my five year old Jakob's favoriter TV show, ever since he first saw it. Jakob started watching it about a year ago but the show has been on since August of 2006 on Nick Jr. We watch it pretty regularly on Noggin. Jakob seems to love Wubbzy's energetic personality.
The show was created by Bob Boyle who started it from a story his niece Viviana Ogawa wrote. Bob turned the story into a comic book-style book. The book was called The Tail of Flopsy, Mopsy and Ted. While developing the story into a show the names of the characters changed and it was decided to be animated in Flash.
The show has the most catchy theme song I have ever heard created by Brad Mossman. Be warned once the song is in my head I can't easily get it out. So be careful.
I was trying to find the DVD for my son and realized one hasn't been released yet. But the good news is that the first DVD "A Tale of Tails" will be released on September 23rd.

Hi Jo, Wubbzy is one of the cutest characters I have seen. The show quickly catches preschoolers attention with its bright colors and exciting music.I am glad you liked my http://www.3boystoys.com/ site. I really thought it was a great idea since most sites review both good and bad toys. I liked the idea of only adding the ones my boys loved and used the most.
Hi Cvaughn, I'm glad I go to introduce you to the characters in the town of Wuzzleburg. I'm sure your grandkids will love the show. It is pretty much always on Noggin if you get that. It is also on Nick Jr. but not nearly as often. I am anxiously waiting for the DVD A Tale of Tails that is expected to be released in September.
Wonder if we can find it here in the UK - both of us have satelite TV.
Hopefully you get Noggin so that you can watch all of Wubbzy's great adventures in Wuzzleburg. If you don't get it you can always get the "A Tale of Tails" DVD that comes out on Sept. 23rd. Good luck it really is a great TV show for kids.

Yes Wubbzy is extremely energetic. I don't think he pauses for a second.

I like Widget because she is always creating new stuff and her fav phrases are so catchy like "Hey there lil buddy" and "That wasn't suppose to happen" I like the way she talks she is so funny.

The DVD's are available but not in region 2 (Europe). I have purchased one and tried to hack my dvd player to accept multi region discs but only succeded in breaking player. Can anybody tell me how to get a disc whcih is region 2. Even tried emailing the US for help with no reply We love wow wow over here too.
Hi Annie, I am sorry to here you can't watch the Wubbzy DVD's. You could try playing it in your computer if that is an option. You could probably find software to strip out the region block then burn a new dvd. Good luck.
My 3 year old loves Wubbzy, I have to record on the dvr all the episodes for her. At least is is a good cartoon and she loves widget. Great hub

My daughters love this show!! When its on, they are glued to the tv. Last christmas I bought them a dancing Wubbzy doll that they always play with. Great article!!
My four-year-old cannot get enough of this show! Every night before bed, he watches it. I'm so thankful for a bright, happy, helpful show!! Great hub, Jim. Hopefully every parent allows their child the chacen to enjoy the amazing things Wubbzy does with his tail ;)
Thanks for all of the great comments. I am a little saddened that Nickelodeon has decided to change the great name of Noggin to Nick Jr. The old logos with the head were really creative. Noggin will be missed. Nick Jr. still has the same great shows but, I will miss the old name and think they are making a big mistake.
The Characters
Wubbzy is a yellow gerbil type creature with a very long tail. He is very energetic and excited about everything. He is constantly saying Wow! Wow! Wow! and his favorite past time is playing kickity-kick ball and hoppity-hopscotch. Wubbzy is always looking to have fun.
Walden is a small purple bear. Walden is a scientist who is always reading and learning.
Widget is a pink rabbit. Widget is always inventing things and is ready to fix any problem.
I can't believe the DVD is so cheap at Amazon.
