Netflix Streaming is the Greatest Addition to Our Wii

Netflix is great. But, when you add its streaming ability to your living room tv it becomes AWESOME! I started using Netflix years ago and I really liked it. But, it was never really practical for me so I just got the trial a few times. We had plenty on TV and my father in-law buys every new action movie that comes out. So I could simply borrow DVD's from him or friends. We buy DVDs for our 3 boys once in a while too. I also have a red box at the local grocery store and it is only $1 for a rental. Oh and we also have one of those ancient BlockBusters around but, I cringe with fear when the kids bug me to go there. Do you know BlockBuster has the audacity to charge $5 for one DVD rental. That is just insane in this day and age.

We have had a Wii for a while and I have been wanting to try Netflix streaming for a long time. But, since we didn't have a wireless router and I didn't want to buy one just to try it, I waited. I was recently able to switch cable companies and the company offered us a wireless router free with our service. I joined Netflix a few months ago ordered the free Wii disc to add streaming. The service is worth so much more now than before. The kids can easily add movies on their own and it actually works great with the Wii controller. My only regret now is that I got the more expensive cable package and am locked in for two years. If I had tried the Netflix Streaming first I would have realized we really didn't need the extra channels. Their are plenty of different movies and TV series for everyone. If you have kids or are a big movie fan this is the greatest thing you can add to your entertainment center.

Many of todays gaming systems and Blu-ray players offer Netflix Streaming too. So if you already have a Netflix compatible device and a wireless router you can stream Netflix to your TV. I was actually surprised at how easy it was to setup. The instructions at Netflix and the disc walked me right through it. You can also stream Netflix to your computer. But, unfortunately it wasn't an option for me because my 8 year old Mac isn't compatible with it. If you don't have a gaming system or other compatible device the Rocu media player would be a cheaper option for you.
